Background:
ERBB2 유전자(HER2로도 알려짐)는 세포 성장과 분열에 중요한 역할을 하는 유전자입니다. 이 유전자는 수용체 티로신 키나아제(Receptor Tyrosine Kinase)의 일종인 Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 단백질을 암호화하며, 세포 성장, 발달 및 조직 복구를 촉진하는 데 관여합니다. 그러나 ERBB2 유전자의 돌연변이(Mutation) 또는 과발현(Overexpression)이 발생할 경우 비정상적이고 조절되지 않는 세포 증식을 유도하게 되며, 이는 암의 주요 특징 중 하나입니다.
